Help for Couples
I help couples address challenges and improve intimacy and communication. I balance attention to specific problem areas with deeper exploration of feelings and patterns of interaction that can create lasting change.
I do not use a specific formula for treating all couples, but I am trained in several models of couples therapy that inform my work: Gottman Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Integrated Behavioral Couples Therapy. In all of these models there is a focus on changing patterns of interaction by bringing new attention to emotions and sensitivities that have been hidden or ignored.
